Abstract

The highly conserved polymerase and helicase enzymes are prime targets for antiviral therapy. Through combining biochemical, structural and virological studies, I aim to characterize these enzymes and contribute to rational drug design.

De sterk geconserveerde polymerase en helicase enzymen zijn primaire doelen voor antivirale therapie. Door het combineren van biochemische, structurele en virologische studies, is mijn doel deze enzymen te karakteriseren en bij te dragen aan medicijnontwerp.
