Abstract

PhD research will focus on the governance of global financial markets, with a special focus on the role of the private sector. By using two case studies (the Basle II Capital Accords negotiations and the governance of international capital flows / sovereign debt crises), he will analyze possible shifting patterns of governance, from national-level public regulation towards globalized private sector self-regulation.
