Abstract
bullet Abstract For specific problems it is important to simulate the interaction between the ground water system and the surface water system in a dynamic way. Alterra Wageningen and WL / Delft Hydraulics conducted a research project on simultaneously connecting the SIMGRO ground water model and the SOBEK surface water model.
In this project we defined the way of couple the two models according to the Open-MI standard, we modified the software structure of both models and developed the software for coupling the models. Finally, a small test was performed to couple the models. In 2005 the development of coupling the models will be completed.
