CAMeRA is an interfaculty research institute at the VU University focused on new technology and communication. CAMeRA supports societal and individual wellbeing by studying the use and impact of new media. CAMeRA designs (multi)media systems and new technology from a social, cultural, communication, and psychological perspective. CAMeRA covers the areas of - Learning and Entertainment - Language Use and Multimodal Communication - Emotion Regulation - Health - Social Interaction and - Psychological Wellbeing as supported or affected by new media and technology, such as - (Serious) Digital Games - Multimedia (e.g., Advanced Visualization) - Virtual Reality - Intelligent Bots and Agents - Mobile and Static Interactive Systems Founding faculties are Social Sciences, Humanities, Psychology and Pedagogy, and Science |
