Mission The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) supports national and international policy makers by analysing the environmental impact of policies and of trends in society. We provide independent integrated assessments on such topics such as sustainable development, energy and climate change, biodiversity, transport, land use and air quality. We report these findings in reports, produced both on request and at the MNP?s own initiative. All our reports are available to the public. PBL functions as an interface between science and policy. From our position at the centre of national and global knowledge networks, we supply both the Dutch government and international organisations (e.g. EEA, UN, OECD and the World Bank) with sound, evidence-based assessments on core issues of environmental importance.
