Mission Within the Groningen Research School for the Study of the Humanities a substantial part of the research activities of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Theology has been assembled. It is the aim of the school to enhance high quality, interdisciplinary research in the humanities. The school intends to realize this aim through the coordination of individual research projects and to offer a thorough and institutionalized education to Ph.D.-students.
Addition In de onderzoekschool Geestenwetenschappen Groningen zijn de volgende disciplines vertegenwoordigd: geschiedenis, kunst- en architectuurgeschiedenis, muziek- en theaterwetenschap, algemene literatuurwetenschap, letterkundes van het Nederlands, Fries, Engels, Frans, Spaans, Italiaans, Duits, Scandinavische, Slavische en Finoegrische talen, geschiedenis van moderne filosofie en metafysica, sociale wijsbegeerte, kennistheorie en ethiek, de theologie, algemene godsdienstwetenschap, Jodendom en Christendom, Egyptologie, historische pedagogiek.
